Porcelain paving installed for summer house area in Caversham. The original area consisted of a untidy uneven concrete slab. We extended the concrete base and paved with 600 / 600mm grey porcelain slabs with 5mm joints.  Slabs were laid on a 50mm sharp sand and cement bed with a fall towards the lawn for surface water drainage. The back of the slabs had a suitable cement base slurry applied to increase the bond to paving bed which is essential when laying porcelain.  We also do this when laying most other paving types. Paving was then grouted with black external tile grout.
